New President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)

  • Charanjot Singh Nanda has been appointed the new president of the world's largest accounting body, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), for the term 2025-26.
  • The Central Council of ICAI elected Nanda, who was previously serving as the Vice President of ICAI, as the 73rd president during a meeting in New Delhi.
  • Chartered accountant D. Prasanna Kumar from Andhra Pradesh was elected as the Vice President.
  • Arjun Ram Meghwal, who is currently serving as Minister of State for Law & Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, administered the oath of office.
