Standard Chartered India appoints new CEO


  • Standard Chartered Bank announced on February 17, 2025, that Prabhdev (P.D.) Singh will take over as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank in India, starting April 1, 2025.
  •  He will succeed Zarin Daruwala, who is retiring on March 31, 2025.

About Prabhdev Singh:

  • Experience: Prabhdev Singh has nearly three decades of experience in the banking and finance sector. He has held leadership and coverage roles in European and American banks.

  • Previous Position: Prior to joining Standard Chartered, he was the CEO of JPMorgan Chase Bank in India, where he played a key role in shaping the bank's corporate banking franchise.

  • Education: Prabhdev Singh holds an engineering degree along with a double MBA.
