- According to the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World Reputation Ranking 2025, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru is the best university in India.
- Other institutions that have been ranked include Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, IIT Madras, and Education 'O' Research.
- The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), which was ranked between 101-125 in 2023, has now dropped to the 201-300 range in the 2025 ranking.
- Both IIT Delhi and IIT Madras are now placed in the 201-300 range as well, whereas in 2023, they were ranked 151-175 and 176-200 respectively.
- Education 'O' Research is a new entrant in this ranking, securing a place in the 201-300 range.
- IIT Bombay, which was ranked 151-175 in 2023, did not make it to this year’s ranking.
