Income Tax Recruitment 2025 Notification Out for 56 MTS, Tax Assistant, and Steno Vacancies

Income Tax Recruitment 2025: The Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, has published the Income Tax Recruitment 2025 notification to recruit 56 vacancies for the posts of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Tax Assistant (TA), and Stenographer Grade-II (Steno). The recruitment is specifically for meritorious sportspersons who have excelled in various sports disciplines. The online application process starts on 15th March 2025, and the last date to apply is 5th April 2025. Selected candidates will be placed in Level 1 (for MTS) and Level 4 (for Tax Assistant and Stenographer) as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, with additional perks and benefits.

Income Tax Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for Income Tax Recruitment 2025:

Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025)

Stenographer Grade-II (Steno) / Tax Assistant: 18 to 27 years
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 18 to 25 years

Age Relaxation

General/OBC: 5 years
SC/ST: 10 years

Educational Qualification

Stenographer Grade-II (Steno): 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
Tax Assistant (TA): Degree from a recognized university.
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Matriculation or equivalent pass.

Sports Eligibility

Candidates must have represented their state or country in national or international competitions, or won medals in recognized tournaments such as:

Income Tax Recruitment Selection Process 2025

The selection process for Income Tax Recruitment 2025 consists of the following stages:

Document Verification: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their sports achievements and educational qualifications.

Skill Test (for Stenographer and Tax Assistant):

Stenographer: Dictation test (10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m) and Transcription (50 w.p.m in English, 65 w.p.m in Hindi).
Tax Assistant: Data Entry Skill Test (8000 key depressions per hour).
