Maharashtra Bhushan Award

• Veteran sculptor Ram Sutar will be honoured with the Maharashtra Bhushan Award.
• It is the highest civilian honour instituted by the Maharashtra government.
• Ram Sutar has designed the Statue of Unity of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the 251-metre-high statue of Lord Rama in Ayodhya.
• He has designed the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in a sitting posture in the Parliament of India.
