- The government has approved the appointment of former Enforcement Directorate chief Sanjay Kumar Mishra as full-time member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM).
- The government has also appointed former Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba as full-time member of Niti Aayog with immediate effect.
- Rajiv Gauba is a 1982-batch retired IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre. He served as Cabinet Secretary for five years from 2019 to 2024.
- Sanjay Kumar Mishra is a 1984-batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer from Uttar Pradesh.
- Sanjay Kumar Mishra will head the ED till September 15, 2023. His term ended after the Supreme Court cut short his extended tenure.
