- On March 4, 2025, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj launched the "Empowered Panchayat-Leader Campaign" at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Over 1,200 women representatives from Panchayats across the country participated in this national workshop.
- The event was attended by Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, the Union Minister of Panchayati Raj, Annapurna Devi, the Minister of Women and Child Development, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, the Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, and Rakesh Nikhil Khadse, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports.
Main Objectives:
- Enhance leadership skills and decision-making abilities of women representatives.
- Empower their role in rural governance.
- Ensure active participation of women in local administration.
