- Gurjar broke the previous record of 59.19m set by Brazil's Roberto Floriani Edenilson in 2022 during the event.
- He achieved the record-breaking throw in his third attempt, before which his throws were recorded at 56.11m and 55.51m.
- F42 is for field athletes who have mild to moderate mobility of one leg.
