National Florence Nightingale Award 2025

• The President of India presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards 2025.

• On May 30, President Smt. Draupadi Murmu honoured 15 exceptional nurses at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

• The awardees were recognised for exemplary service in public health and community welfare.

• The awards include a certificate of merit, a cash prize of ₹1,00,000 and a medallion symbolising the nation's gratitude for the invaluable service rendered by these health warriors.

• The award honours registered nurses, midwives, auxiliary nurse midwives and lady health visitors from government and voluntary organisations.

• The recently passed National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Act will prove to be an important milestone in the modernisation of nursing education and regulatory framework.
