Mondo Duplantis

  • Olympic champion pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis set a new world record of 6.28m at the Stockholm Diamond League.
  • The Swedish superstar has broken his own record for the 12th time in the event, having previously jumped 6.27m at the All Star Perch meet in France earlier this year.
  • The performance was in front of a cheering home crowd at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium.
  • It looks set for a great 2025 for the 25-year-old Duplantis after victory at the World Indoor Championships in March and the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year Award at the end of April.
  • Australia's Kurtis Marshall finished second with a jump of 5.90m and Menno Vloon of the Netherlands was third.
  • Former world record holder Renaud Lavillenie of France finished fourth on countback.
