SSC JE Recruitment 2025: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC JE exam to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Junior Engineers in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. As already announced, SSC will release the SSC JE Recruitment 2025 at www.ssc.gov.in on 30th June 2025.

The number of vacancies for Junior Engineer posts will be notified with the release of the notification. The SSC JE posts are Group B (Non-Gazetted), in Level-6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of the pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission. There is a slight change in the SSC JE Exam Pattern, from now onwards, both paper 1 and paper 2 are computer-based Examinations.

SSC JE Recruitment 2025 Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/- as their application fee for the SSC JE 2025 Exam. Female Candidates, Ex. Servicemen and Candidates belonging to reserved categories are exempted from paying the application fee for the SSC JE 2025 Exam. The payment of the application fee can be made only through online payment modes such as Net-Banking, Credit/Debit cards and BHIM, UPI etc.

For the posts for which age limit is upto 30 years- The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1995 and not later than 01-08-2007.

For the posts for which age limit is upto 32 years- The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1993 and not later than 01-08-2007.

SSC JE Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

Under the SSC JE selection process candidates have to undergo the Paper 1, Paper 2, and document verification process. Paper-I & Paper-II will be held in CBT mode and consist of Objective Type, Multiple-choice questions only. The candidates will be required to attempt the General Engineering part (i.e., Part-A, Part-B or Part-C) in Paper-I and Paper-II, which has been selected by them, based on their Stream/ Subject of Educational Qualification.

SSC JE 2025 Exam Pattern

SSC JE 2025 Exam will be conducted in two papers. Paper 1 will be of 200 marks and paper 2 will be of 300 marks. Both paper 1 and paper 2 are Multiple Choice Questions. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in paper 1 and in paper 2 there will be a negative marking of 1 mark.
