- S.R.N. Mehta CBSE School, Kalaburagi has bagged the first prize in the Class 8 category of the prestigious NASA Ames Research Center-National Space Society (NSS) Space Settlement Design Competition 2025.
- The winning project, titled IRA, was conceptualised and developed by 11 students of the school, showcasing a sustainable space colony design.
- Over 4,900 students from 25 countries participated in the competition.
- The team was invited to present their project at the International Space Development Conference (ISDC-2025) held in Orlando, Florida, US, from June 19 to 22.
- On June 21, the students presented their project before 250 global space scientists, astronauts and officials.
