- The scheme aims to expand the existing legal aid clinics by creating a specialised network within the Sainik Boards at the district, state and central levels.
- The Sainik Boards currently serve as important welfare centres for both active and retired servicemen.
- Under this initiative, these centres will also provide legal aid to military families.
