- The application forms for the scheme were formally distributed by the Chief Minister at the Birinchi Kumar Barua Auditorium of Guwahati University.
- Simultaneous distribution events were held across the state to ensure wider participation and awareness.
- Nijut Moina is considered to be a flagship scheme of the Assam government aimed at reducing the dropout rate among girls and increasing enrollment in colleges.
- Under the scheme, financial assistance will be provided to girls studying in government and government-aided institutions from higher secondary to postgraduate level.
