• Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won the gold medal at the 2025 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships in Ahmedabad.

• She lifted a total of 193 kg. This broke the championship records in snatch, clean and jerk and overall.

• She lifted 84 kg in snatch. In clean and jerk, she lifted 109 kg.
