- Union Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav addressed the 20th Global Sustainability Summit in New Delhi on 2 September.
- The event was organized by the CII-ITC Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Development.
- Delegates from over 10 countries and senior industry leaders were present on the occasion.
- Shri Yadav described India’s development model as one that strikes a balance between economic progress and ecological responsibility.
- He emphasized that sustainability should not be seen as a goal but as a way of life based on resilience, regeneration and responsibility.
- He informed that the Government of India has notified the Environmental Audit Rules, 2025 on 29th August, 2025, which provide a formal framework for environmental audit across the country.
- The Minister informed that the revised methodology of the Green Credit Program has been notified on 29th August, 2025 to enable greater private participation and ecological restoration.
