- The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment announced the launch of a three-tier national competition to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA).
- The initiative aims to engage youth, students, and community members in promoting a drug-free India.
- The high-level event to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, will be graced by the presence of the Honorable Prime Minister and the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment.
- Since its launch on August 15, 2020, NMBA has reached over 206.3 million individuals across 57.1 million educational institutions, including 62.9 million youth and 41.4 million women.
- Youth aged 15-29 years, students, NMBA Master Volunteers, and NSS/NCC/MyBharat volunteers are invited to participate in this competition.
- The competition will be conducted in three stages: online quiz, essay writing, and speech/group discussion.
- The district-level online quiz, Tier 1, will be held from September 25 to October 24, 2025, and the top 3,500 participants will advance to Tier 2.
