International Day of Older Persons

• The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment celebrated International Day of Older Persons 2025.

• The event was held on October 1st at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.

• A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during the event.

• The MoU involves the Ministry of Defence, Telecommunications Consultants India Limited, and the Birla Open Minds Foundation.

• A new game called "Nitik Patam" was also launched.

• This game is designed to foster strong bonds between generations.

• International Day of Older Persons is celebrated every year on October 1st.

• The theme of the celebration was "Aging with Dignity."
