Indian para powerlifter Joby Mathew won a bronze medal at the 2025 Para Powerlifting World Championships held in Cairo, Egypt.
- Competing in the 65kg Legend (Masters) category, he lifted a total of 300kg through two successful attempts of 148kg and 152kg.
- His achievement marked a new personal best, surpassing the 150kg he had achieved at the Beijing World Cup two months earlier.
- This win was Mathew's second World Championships medal, having previously won a bronze medal in Dubai in 2023.
