Eligibility Criteria for PSSSB Junior Technician Recruitment 2025
- Punjabi language: All posts require knowledge of Punjabi up to Matriculation level, i.e., candidate must have passed Matric with Punjabi or equivalent exam; additionally, a qualifying Punjabi language test (Matric level) with at least 50% marks conducted by the recruiting agency is mandatory for Group-C posts.
- Hostel Superintendent-cum-PTI: Matric in second division or 10+2; Certificate in Physical Education (C.P.Ed) from recognized institution (preference for Diploma in Physical Education); at least 2 years’ relevant experience.
- Storekeeper: Matric second class or 10+2; National Trade Certificate/National Apprenticeship Certificate in any Engineering Trade; minimum 1-year experience of storekeeping in Engineering Stores.
- Librarian: (Option 1) Bachelor in Library and Information Science with at least 1 year practical experience in factory/State Govt/institute recognized by Govt, OR (Option 2) B.A./B.Sc. with Diploma in Library Science and at least 3 years’ practical experience in factory/State Govt/institute.
- Autoclave Operator/Machine Operator: Matric or 10+2 plus 2-year certificate in Mechanical trade from ITI; preference for candidates with knowledge of running and maintenance of bulk sterilizer/electrical or steam heaters.
- Junior Technician (Civil): National Trade Certificate in Civil Draftsman trade or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 50% marks from recognized institution.
- Junior Technician (Electrical): National Trade Certificate in Electrician trade or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 50% marks from recognized institution.
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)
- General category: Minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years.
- SC/BC of Punjab: Upper age limit 42 years.
- Punjab and Central Govt employees: Upper age relaxation up to 45 years.
- Ex-servicemen of Punjab: Upper age as per Punjab Recruitment of Ex-servicemen Rules, 1982; effective age is actual age minus service years, subject to maximum relaxations.
- Widows, divorcees and certain other married women categories: Upper age relaxation up to 40 years as per Govt instructions.
Salary/Stipend
- Hostel Superintendent-cum-PTI: Basic pay Rs. 29,200/- per month (Level-5, 7th CPC) under Punjab Industrial Training Non-Ministerial Service Rules 2025.
- Storekeeper: Basic pay Rs. 19,900/- per month (Level-2, 7th CPC) under same rules.
- Librarian: Basic pay Rs. 29,200/- per month (Level-5, 7th CPC).
- Autoclave Operator/Machine Operator: Basic pay Rs. 25,500/- per month (Level-4, 7th CPC) under Punjab Veterinary/Husbandry Service (Group-C) amended rules 2025.
- Junior Technician (Civil/Electrical): Basic pay Rs. 19,900/- per month (Level-2, 7th CPC) as per Punjab State Warehousing Corporation Staff (Conditions of Service) Regulations.

- General / Sports / Freedom Fighter: Rs. 1000/-
- SC / BC / Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Rs. 250/-
- Ex-servicemen & Dependents: Rs. 200/-
- Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Selection Process
- Selection is based on an Objective Type (MCQ) written examination conducted by PSSSB.
- Merit list is prepared solely on marks obtained in the written exam; tie-breaking is done by considering age (older higher), educational percentage, and then Matric marks if needed.
- Based on merit and category-wise vacancies, candidates are called for counselling and document verification; final recommendations are sent to the concerned departments.
- No candidate gains an automatic right of appointment merely by appearing in the exam or being in the merit list; eligibility is finally determined at counselling/document verification.
How to Apply for PSSSB Junior Technician Recruitment 2025
- Candidates must apply online only through PSSSB website https://sssb.punjab.gov.in under “Online Applications” from 05/12/2025 to 27/12/2025.
- Applicants must complete registration to generate username and password, then log in and fill the step-wise online application form, uploading passport-size photo, signature and required certificates (Matric D.O.B proof, technical qualification, category certificate, etc.) in a single PDF.
- Application will be accepted only after full fee payment; fee must be paid via SBI challan (any branch) or online via net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI up to 30/12/2025.
- After fee payment, candidates can download the final application form on the next working day and must keep a copy safely for future reference.
- No offline applications or late submissions will be accepted; no changes are allowed after final form submission except limited edits before first submit.

- Candidates must produce original educational, technical, category, domicile, and experience certificates and their self-attested copies at counselling; failure will result in cancellation.
- No TA/DA will be paid for written examination or counselling; all communication including exam schedule, admit card, result and merit list will be published on PSSSB website only.
- PSSSB reserves the right to correct errors in the advertisement, modify or cancel the recruitment process, and its decisions on eligibility and selection will be final.
