National Mathematics Day 2025

• Every year, National Mathematics Day is celebrated across the country on December 22nd.

• This day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, who gave the world 3500 mathematical formulas.

• The main objective of this day is to raise awareness among people about the importance of mathematics for the development of humanity.

• In 2012, the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh declared December 22nd as National Mathematics Day on the occasion of Srinivasa Ramanujan's 125th birth anniversary.
