Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualifications:
- Law Graduate (LL.B) OR Masters in Social Work (MSW) from a University established by law in India.
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
- Candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of the required educational qualification are also eligible to apply, but must produce proof of passing before the competitive examination conducted by the Commission.
Salary/Stipend
- Pay-Matrix Level: L-11 (Grade Pay -4200/-).
- Note: During the probation period (परिवीक्षाकाल), a fixed monthly salary (Fix Pay) will be payable as per State Government rules.
Age Limit (as on 01 January2027)
- Minimum Age: 18 years.
- Maximum Age: 40 years.
- Age relaxation provided as per rules (e.g., 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Male of Rajasthan; 10 years for SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Female of Rajasthan; 5 years for General Female).
- A one-year additional age relaxation is granted due to the non-advertising of the post in subsequent years, keeping the age basis as 01 January 2027.
- No upper age limit for Widows and Divorced women.
Application Fee for RPSC Protection Officer Recruitment 2025
- Rs. 600/- for General (Unreserved) / Backward Classes (Creamy Layer) / More Backward Classes (Creamy Layer) candidates.
- Rs. 400/- for Reserved Category (SC / ST / Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer / More Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer / EWS / Sahariya) of Rajasthan State.
- Rs. 400/- for Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan).
- Candidates from outside Rajasthan are considered General Category and must pay Rs. 600/-.
Selection Process
- Candidates will be selected through a written competitive examination (लिखित परीक्षा).
- The exam will be objective type (offline/online) with multiple choice questions (MCQs).
- Negative marking is applicable (one-third mark deducted for each wrong answer).
- Minimum passing marks are 40% in each paper.
- The names of suitable candidates will be recommended to the state government based on merit order from the written exam marks.
General Information/Instructions
- The post is permanent (स्थाई).
- Reservation benefits are available only to original residents of Rajasthan state.
- Changes to the online application form (except Name, Father’s Name, DOB, Gender) can be made within 10 days of the last application date by paying Rs. 500/-.
- Admit cards and all further information will be uploaded only on the RPSC website (rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in).
- One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory through the SSO Portal (sso.rajasthan.gov.in).
