  • The policy for auctioning coal linkages for seamless, efficient, and transparent utilization (Coal SeTu) was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on December 12, 2025.
  • This policy adds a separate window called 'Coal SeTu' to the 2016 Non-Regulated Sector (NRS) linkage auction policy.
  • Any domestic buyer requiring coal can participate in the linkage auction, regardless of the end-use.
  • The coal linkages obtained under this window will be for self-consumption, export of coal, or any other purpose, including coal washing.
