- This award recognizes the legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja's unparalleled contribution to Indian cinema.
- The award includes a Padmapani memento, a certificate of appreciation, and a cash prize of ₹2 lakh.
- Previous recipients of this award include lyricist Javed Akhtar, veteran director-writer Sai Paranjpye, actor Om Puri, and others.
- The 11th Ajanta-Ellora International Film Festival will be held from January 28 to February 1 at Mahatma Gandhi Mission, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.
- The festival is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, and the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra.
- It is being co-presented by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the Maharashtra Film, Stage & Cultural Development Corporation, Government of Maharashtra.
