Rail and development projects approved in Thiruvananthapuram

• On January 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for and inaugurated development projects in Thiruvananthapuram.

• These projects aim to strengthen infrastructure, rail connectivity, healthcare, science, and urban livelihoods in Kerala.

• Enhanced rail connectivity and new initiatives were highlighted as part of the renewed efforts to accelerate the pace of development in Kerala.

• Thiruvananthapuram was presented as a future hub for startups and innovation through informed infrastructure and technology-based initiatives.

• A nationwide welfare initiative was launched with the introduction of the PM SVANidhi credit card to provide assistance to street vendors, hawkers, and those working on pavements.
