Eligibility Criteria for TGSRTC Recruitment 2026
Eligibility by Gender
- Men and Women are eligible for the Posts of Traffic Supervisor Trainee and Mechanical Supervisor Trainee
- 33⅓% of the vacancies in each category are reserved for Women under Direct Recruitment on horizontal basis
Educational Qualifications
- For Post Code No. 47 (Traffic Supervisor Trainee): Must possess a Graduate Degree awarded by any university in India, established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provisional Act of State or of any Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualification as on 1st July 2025
- For Post Code No. 48 (Mechanical Supervisor Trainee): Must have passed Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Telangana or its equivalent qualification in the same discipline as on 1st July 2025
- Candidates possessing higher qualification of BE/B Tech/AMIE in the discipline of Automobile/Mechanical Engineering are also eligible for Post Code 48
- Candidates who possess higher qualification than the prescribed one will also be considered for Post Code 47
Essential Qualifications
- All educational qualifications must be obtained as on 1st July 2025
- Degrees must be from universities in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provisional Act of State or from institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission
- Diploma must be from the Department of Technical Education, Government of Telangana or equivalent
Desirable
- For Departmental Candidates: Must have completed 5 years of service on regular basis as an approved probationer as on 25th December 2025
Experience
- No specific experience mentioned as mandatory for external candidates
- Departmental candidates must have 5 years of regular service in TGSRTC as on the date of notification
Salary/Stipend for TGSRTC Recruitment 2026
- Pay Scale: ₹27,080 – ₹81,400 per month
- During Training Period (12 months): Selected candidates shall be eligible for stipend i.e., minimum of the time scale of Deputy Superintendent (Traffic)/Deputy Superintendent (Mechanic)
- After Training: On successful completion of training, candidates will be appointed in the regular post as Deputy Superintendent (Traffic)/Deputy Superintendent (Mechanic)
- During both regular and extended training period, candidates will receive the stipend amount
Age Limit (as on 1st July 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 25 years
- Upper Age Limit Relaxation: Government of Telangana vide GO Ms No. 30 dated 08-02-2024 have raised the upper age limit by 12 years (making it 37 years) for direct recruitment
Additional Age Relaxations
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years in addition to the length of service rendered in the Armed Forces (Indian Army/Indian Navy/Indian Air Force/Indian Territorial Army)
- SC, ST, BC and EWS Category: 5 years
- Departmental Employees (SC/ST/BC): Age relaxation to the extent of service rendered in the Corporation on regular basis, subject to maximum age not exceeding 45 years as on 1st July 2025
- Departmental Employees (Other than SC/ST/BC): Age relaxation up to maximum of 10 years regular service, subject to maximum age not exceeding 40 years as on 1st July 2025
Note: Date of Birth accepted is that entered in the Secondary School Certificate or Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate. No other document relating to age will be accepted.

- Tie-Breaking: When two or more candidates obtain equal marks, preference given to candidate who was born earlier
- Certificates Verification: Candidates must produce original documents for verification
- Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates will undergo medical fitness examination
- Biometrics: Fingerprints and photographs will be taken at the time of Written Examination and whenever required

- 33⅓% vacancies reserved for Women on horizontal basis
