Northeast Rice Festival

• Nagaland will host the first 'Northeast Rice Festival: Heritage Grains'.

• The festival will be held at the Agri Expo Centre in Chumoukedima.

• The festival will be held on February 26 and 27.

• It aims to promote traditional rice varieties from the region.

• It also aims to promote traditional agricultural tools and seed conservation practices from across the region.

• Communities from the northeastern states will participate in the event.

• Sikkim will also be a part of the festival.
