Micron Technology's Semiconductor ATMP facility inaugurated by PM in Gujarat

• Micron Technology's state-of-the-art semiconductor assembly, test, and packaging (ATMP) facility will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Sanand, Gujarat.

• Commercial production and shipment of the first semiconductor memory module manufactured in India officially commenced on this occasion.

• The facility was established with a total investment of over ₹22,500 crore under the India Semiconductor Mission.

• The project's foundation stone was laid in September 2023 and it is now ready to convert advanced DRAM and NAND wafers into finished products for global markets.

• This inauguration is considered a significant step for India's growing technology ecosystem.

• The plant has approximately 5 lakh square feet of cleanroom space, making it one of the largest raised-floor cleanrooms globally.
