New Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting

• Chanchal Kumar assumed charge as the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on April 1, 2026.

• Mr. Chanchal Kumar is a 1992-batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre and succeeds Sanjay Jaju.

• Concurrently, Mr. Sanjay Jaju has now been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.

• Chanchal Kumar has also served as the Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
