World Malaria Day 2026

  • World Malaria Day 2026 will be observed on April 25th to raise awareness about malaria and promote global action against it.
  • With new vaccines and improved strategies, the goal of eradicating malaria is closer than ever before; however, sustained effort and global cooperation will remain essential to achieve a malaria-free world.
  • The theme for World Malaria Day 2026 is ‘The Resolve to End Malaria: Now We Can. Now We Must.’
  • World Malaria Day is an international observance aimed at combating malaria—a life-threatening disease.
  • It was established in 2007 by the World Health Organization (WHO) and was first observed in 2008.
  • This day replaced the earlier observance previously known as ‘Africa Malaria Day.’
