GATE 2027 Notification: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 notification has been officially released. This year, IIT Madras is the organizing institute for the examination. GATE is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to M.Tech., M.E., Ph.D., and other postgraduate programmes in IITs, NITs, IIITs, IISc, and other prestigious institutions. The GATE score is also accepted by various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for recruitment.
The online registration process will begin on 14 August 2026 through the GOAPS portal. Candidates studying in the third year or higher of eligible undergraduate programmes or those who have already completed their qualifying degree are eligible to apply. The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 & 21 February 2027.
