Joint Military Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2026

• The Indian Army’s AH-64E Apache attack helicopters have joined the ongoing joint military exercise ‘Yudh Abhyas 2026’ between India and the United States.

• This military exercise, which commenced on September 15, will continue until September 28, 2026. Conducted across Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, the exercise aims to enhance joint operations, ground maneuvers, and aerial coordination between the armies of both nations.

• This time, the exercise is being held across two distinct geographical regions.

• At the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan, troops are undergoing combat training in desert conditions, while at the Auli Foreign Training Node in Uttarakhand, they are practicing operations in high-altitude mountainous terrain.

• This training across diverse terrains is providing Indian and US soldiers with experience in operating jointly in environments ranging from deserts to semi-mountainous and high-altitude regions.
