- The Uttarakhand government is set to launch a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp’ (Pledge of Service) campaign to promote public service and public participation across the state.
- This campaign will be conducted throughout the state from September 17 to October 17, 2026. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the campaign on September 11.
- The campaign will commence on September 17, which also marks the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- According to the government, the objective of ‘Seva Sankalp’ is to take government schemes to the people while also connecting various sections of society with service initiatives and social causes.
- This initiative is also aligned with the broader goal of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ (Developed India 2047). The campaign is built upon the key pillars of service, public participation, dialogue, and innovation, aiming to foster better coordination between the government and the general public and ensure maximum participation in the development process.
