- Prior to this, all five franchises must submit their lists of retained players by September 28, 2026.
- With the retention deadline set, teams will formulate strategies regarding their current players and assess their squad requirements ahead of the auction.
- With this, the franchises' preparations for the fifth season of the WPL have now officially commenced.
