- According to the Hurun India Wealth Report 2021, the number of dollar-millionaire households in India grew by 11 percent to 4,58,000 households in 2021 as compared to 2020.
- The report said that the number of households with 'dollar millionaire' i.e. net worth of about Rs 7 crore has increased by 11 percent in the country last year and now their number has increased to 4.58 lakh.
- According to the Hurun India Wealth Report 2021, the largest number of millionaire families live in Mumbai.
- The report has described Mumbai as the 'millionaire capital' of India.
- The report claimed that Mumbai has the highest number of '$20,300 Millionary', while Delhi is at number two with $17,400 Millionary Family and Kolkata is at number three with '$10,500' Family.
- The report estimates that the number of dollar-millionaire households in the country will grow by 30% over the next five years to reach 600,000 households in 2026.
