Flying Trainer HANSA-NG


  • India's first indigenous flying trainer 'HANSA-NG' designed and developed by CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, has successfully completed the sea-level trials at Puducherry from February 19 to March 5.
  • The all-composite HANSA-NG, certified in 2000 by the DGCA under the JAR-VLA category, has been revitalised to cater to the demand for trainer aircraft.
  • The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA) signed an MoU with CSIR-NAL as a launch customer of HANSA-NG for pilot training.
  • HANSA-NG is an advanced flying trainer. It is powered by Rotax Digital Control Engine.
  •  It has other special features like composite lightweight airframe, glass cockpit, bubble canopy with wide panoramic view, electrically operated flaps, etc.
