New Director General of International Labor Organization

  • Gilbert F. Hongbo has recently been elected as the 11th Director General of the International Labor Organization.
  • He is the former Prime Minister of Togo and will take office in October 2022.
  • He is the first African to be elected to the position.
  • Since 2017, he serves as the President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
  • From 2008 to 2012, he served as the Prime Minister of Togo.
