Shaheed Divas

• Every year, 23 March was celebrated as Shaheed Divas in India.

• Freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were hanged by the British on this day i.e. 23 March 1931.

• In the memory of these three freedom fighters and to pay tribute to them, this day is celebrated as Shaheed Divas.

• January 30 is also celebrated as Shaheed Divas in the memory of Mahatma Gandhi.
