- World Hemophilia Day is observed every year on 17 April.
- The purpose of which is to make people aware about Hemophilia and other hereditary bleeding disorders.
- The day is celebrated in honor of Frank Schnabel, the founder of the World Federation of Hemophilia.
- The theme of this year (2022) is "Access for all : Partnership.Policy.Progress".
- Hemophilia is a genetic disease in which the blood's ability to clot is severely reduced, so that even a minor injury can cause severe bleeding.
