New Executive Director of Reserve Bank of India

• Rajeev Ranjan and Sitakantha Patnaik have been named executive directors by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

•  Before being appointed as Executive Director, Rajeev Ranjan was Advisor in charge of Monetary Policy Department and Secretary, Monetary Policy Committee.

•  Before joining the ED, Patnaik was an advisor in the Department of Economic and Policy Research.

• Rajeev Ranjan will oversee the Monetary Policy Department as executive director, while Patnaik will oversee the Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR).
