Global Trend Report on Forced Displacement in 2021

• The annual Global Trend Report for the year 2022 has been published by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

• June 20 has been designated by the United Nations as World Refugee Day.

• The theme of World Refugee Day 2022 is "Whoever has the right to seek protection wherever and whenever they exist".

• It presents key statistical trends and the latest numbers of refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced and stateless persons worldwide, as well as the number of people who have returned to their countries or regions of origin.

• The report is published once in a year which shows the position of the previous year.

• The figures are based on data reported by governments, non-governmental organizations and the UNHCR.
