- Assam has become the 36th state/UT to implement One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC).
- Along with this, the One Nation One Ration Card program has been successfully implemented in all the States and Union Territories, thereby ensuring food security across the country.
- To take maximum benefit of One Nation One Ration Card scheme, the government has also started 'Mera Ration' mobile application.
- The mobile app is providing useful real-time information to the beneficiaries and is available in 13 languages.
- One Nation One Ration Card scheme is being implemented under the National Food Security Act (NFSA).
