New Director General of National Informatics Center

• Senior scientist Rajesh Gera has been appointed as the Director General of National Informatics Center (NIC), in an order issued by the Personnel Ministry. He is presently Deputy Director General in NIC.
• The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Gera, Scientist 'G' to the post of Director General.
• National Informatics Center is a Government of India organization under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, established in 1976 with the objective of providing technology-driven solutions to the Central and State Governments.
