- On August 5, 2022, Indian Navy inked a MoU with ISRO’s Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad for data sharing and cooperation on Satellite based Naval Applications in Meteorology and Oceanology.
- Both the organisations will get a common platform of mutual cooperation, where scientific advancements by Space Applications Centre would be synergised into Indian Naval efforts.
- This move will help to keep India’s defence in line with rapid development in Satellite Data retrieval and applications and will strengthen the collaboration.
- It will also further the meaningful interactions and professional exchanges between both the organisations in future.
- MoU is the extension of last MoU signed in 2017.
