Gandhi Mandela Award

• The Dalai Lama was given the Gandhi Mandela Award.

• On 19 November Himachal Pradesh Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar presented the Gandhi Mandela Award 2022 to the 14th Dalai Lama at Mcleodganj.

• Governor Arlekar called him a "universal ambassador of peace" and said he was the most deserving person in the world today for the award.

• The Dalai Lama also received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989.
