- Tayyab Ikram has been elected the new president of the International Hockey Federation (FIH).
- Mohammad Tayyab Ikram, CEO of the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF), has replaced India's Narendra Batra as the full -time head of the FIH.
- Tayyab Ikram defeated Mark Codron of Belgium at the 48th FIH Congress held virtually held.
- Ikram's term will be two years. Narendra Batra resigned from his post in July.
- Safe Ahmed was the executive chairman of FIH after Batra's resignation.
- The Congress also approved the application of the Indonesian Hockey Federation as a full member of the FIH.
- Hiroya Anjai of Japan, POTER Wilconsky of Poland and Deon Morgan of South Africa were first selected as members of the FIH Executive Board.
- Trinidad and Tobago's Marine Craig-Russo and Elizabeth Safoa King of Ghana were re-elected to the FIH Executive Board.
