New chief minister of himachal pradesh

• Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh on 11 December 2022.

• He has become the 15th Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh. He has replaced BJP leader Jai Ram Thakur as the CM of Himachal Pradesh.

• Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered him the oath of office and secrecy.

• Mukesh Agnihotri took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh.

• The Congress party has got absolute majority in the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections.

• It won 40 seats, six more than the required 34 seats in the 68-member House.
