  • The main objective of this day is to honor the efforts, services and contribution of the 'Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs'.
  • Central Excise Day is celebrated to mark the enactment of the 'Central Excise and Salt Act' on 24 February 1944.
  • It encourages the employees of the Excise Department to perform their duties.
