  • Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf passed away at the age of 79.
  • Pervez Musharraf was the General of the Pakistani Army.
  • He was born in 1943 in Delhi.
  • He had been declared a proclaimed offender in the former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto assassination case and the Lal Masjid cleric murder case.
  • He was suffering from amyloidosis. This is a rare disease. It causes abnormal accumulation of protein forms in different tissues of the body which leads to organ damage.
  • He led the Kargil infiltration. This led to the war between India and Pakistan in 1999.
