- India's first boat basin or marina with dockage will be built at Byndoor in Udupi district.
- It will be constructed to promote coastal tourism in Karnataka.
- The Karnataka government will seek permission from the Center for relaxation in the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) to promote beach and pilgrimage tourism.
- The government will develop the history of tourism in the state with the help of the Archaeological Department.
- The government has also proposed to build corridors for temples including Madhukeshwar at Banavasi and Dattatreya at Ganagapura.
